Hi There, Vivian here!

My journey began when I was just a young girl of 13. My father, the pillar of our small community, passed away, leaving me to fend for myself. With a steely resolve, I took on the world, one challenge at a time.

My first job was in a tiny restaurant where I worked tirelessly, slaving away in the kitchen for 14 hours a day. My bed? Right there amidst the pots and pans, a cozy little nook where I rested my weary bones after each grueling shift. No day-offs, no time for friends, and definitely no luxury of books – just the sizzle of the frying pan and the clatter of dishes as my constant companions.

But life wasn't all drudgery for me. Oh no! Despite the long hours and the never-ending toil, I found joy in the simple things, like the smell of freshly cooked rice or the laughter of the customers enjoying their meals.

After one year, I was determined to carve out a future brighter than a neon sign on a dark night. I bid farewell to my hometown and boarded a train to the big city Guangzhou. Initially, the city welcomed me with open arms, though its embrace felt more like a headlock at times.

My journey through the city's job market was like a game of career hopscotch. I tried my hand at everything from factory work to hotel hospitality, from selling houses to selling haute couture.

Then, at the age of 25, life threw me another curveball – I found out I was pregnant. Now, one might expect this to be the breaking point, but not for me. I welcomed motherhood with open arms, seeing it as the greatest blessing in my life.

But the challenges didn't end there. Determined to give my child a better life, I packed my bags and set sail for America, a land of opportunity and dreams. Armed with little more than my unwavering spirit and a heart full of hope, I ventured into the unknown.

Life in America wasn't easy, especially as a single mom who didn't speak a word of English. But I wasn't one to back down from a challenge. With help, I enrolled in school, determined to learn the language and carve out a better future for myself and my child.

Eventually, I landed a job in a furniture store, where I discovered my true passion – creating beautiful spaces that brought joy to people's lives. It was then that I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life – become an interior designer.

With grit and determination, I pursued my dream, soaking up knowledge like a sponge and honing my skills with every passing day. And before I knew it, I’m living my dream – an interior designer with a thriving business and a heart full of gratitude.

So there you have it. The girl who started from bottom and still climbing my way, one spatula flip at a time. As I sit in my desk of the beautiful showroom, surrounded by love and laughter, I know one thing for certain: I’m living the dream I never knew I had.
